Senior Systems Engineer

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
Agile experience preferred, plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
Applicants selected will be subject to a US Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Serve as the lead Systems Security Engineer specializing in Cyber Design, Engineering, Integration, and Deployment.

Work with a multi-disciplined program teams and make decisions related to resource allocation, work assignment, schedule management, risk and opportunity management, and quality attainment in meeting program milestones and cyber objectives.

Contribute to cyber resiliency and security risk management of a national significance.
.
Perform as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a range of cybersecurity capabilities and products.
.
Development of required security documentation including items such as system security design, requirements compliance matrices, system security plans, contingency plans, and standard operating procedures in compliance with the IA policy.
Leads requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, systems integration and test (verification), validation and interface definition studies of system, subsystem or system elements with little or no supervision.
Leads technical planning, cost and risk analyses, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for subsystems and system elements.
Leads evaluations of systems, networks and information systems to ensure designs meet applicable governmental security specifications.
Researches and analyzes data, such as vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
Effectively chooses the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of technical engineering products.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments.
Defines processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility.
Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses.
Serves as consultant to management and customers on projects and applications.
Travel may be required.
Assignments may be self-initiated Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Coordinating the accreditation of the Cross Domain Solution (CDS).
Planning and executing the RMF assessment.
Experience with multi-level security (MLS) and MILS architectures.
Understanding of chat/instant message protocols a plus.
Strong understating of XML including schemas.
Experience deploying cybersecurity solutions with specific focus on cross domain solutions that meet NSA/NCDSMO and NSA Raise the Bar security requirements.
Security engineering and integration services.
Experience with PitBull operating systems is a plus.
Review security testing and evaluation to ensure the correct implementation of security requirements.
Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Security Requirement Guides (SRGs) in tactical environments.
