C2 Element Systems Engineer

Axient is seeking a systems engineer with space and ground system experience to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) National Environmental, Data and Information Service (NESDIS) Office of Projects, Planning and Analysis (OPPA).
OPPA develops and deploys satellite systems that advance NOAA's leadership in space weather observations, and other flight projects as determined by the government customer.
OPPA is transitioning to the Space Weather Office (SWO) in order to establish a Space Weather Observations portfolio.
The Space Weather Follow On (SWFO) Ground Segment team is looking for a Systems Engineer to help lead the Command and Control (C2) element team.
The C2 team consists of approximately 10-15 matrixed team members from across NESDIS and NASA offices, of varying backgrounds and levels of experience.
The C2 Systems Engineer will work closely with the C2 Element Lead to develop a successful command and Next control system that covers all aspects of operating the SWFO spacecraft, located at the Sun-Earth Lagrange 1 point.
The successful candidate will support the full lifecycle of the SWFO Ground Segment Project, which includes the acquisition, development, test and integration, deployment, and operations of the SWFO Command and Control system.
This role will also work closely with the Ground Project Manager, the Ground Systems Engineer, and the SWFO Program team to ensure the C2 system is a successful part of the SWFO Program.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manage interfaces between the C2 element and the SWFO antenna network, product generation and distribution element, Operational staff, the SWFO spacecraft team, and the GOES-R Ground SystemLead requirements management and requirement analysis of existing requirements in DOORSParticipate in Integration and Test planning and activitiesWitness and review contractor verification activitiesSupport Ground Segment verification and validation activitiesDefine and perform decision/trade-off analyses at various levels of detailIdentify and manage C2 element risks (reported as LxC) Prepare for and participate in project and program design review such as Critical Design Reviews (CDR), System Integration Reviews (SIR), and test and Operational Readiness ReviewsLead the creation, review, and update of program documents such as Concept of Operations (ConOps), Operations Concepts (OpsCon), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Requirements Documents (at all levels), test plans, and System Engineering Management PlansRequired QualificationsDegree in an engineering or science discipline, 8-24 years experienceAn expert communicator, with experience coordinating multiple stakeholdersUS Citizen or Permenant Resident Desired QualificationsPrior experience working with the GOES-R Ground SystemPrior experience with NOAA or NASA projectsPrior experience developing software systemsPrior experience with RF or antenna systemsPrior operations experience as a spacecraft/ground operator or engineerWindchill and DOORS software experienceMaster's degree in Systems EngineeringPMI Certifications (CAPM, PMP)INCOSE Certifications (ASEP, CSEP, ESEP).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
