Risk Manager / Satellite Ground Mission Systems Engineer

Overview:
Axient is seeking a Risk Manager/Satellite Ground Mission System Engineer to support NOAA National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) Office of Satellite Ground Services (OSGS).
Work involves a combination of System engineering risk management in support of the implementation of NESDIS Ground System Ingest and Product Generation capabilities on AWS Cloud and support operationalizing NESDIS Ground System Ingest and Product Generation capabilities on AWS Cloud using the NESDIS Common Cloud Framework (NCCF).
Responsibilities:
ResponsibilitiesSupport assessments to define and analyze possible risksDocument, processes and procedures to manage riskSuggest incremental improvement and suggestionsSupport the design processes to eliminate or mitigate potential risksEvaluate existing policies and procedures to find weaknessesSupport business process re-engineering and iterative process improvementsSupport project risk managementand run the OSGS risk boardSupport the evaluation of how employees Standardize risk reporting across the organization and evaluate employees risk awarenessSupport the implementation teams to operationalize Ingest and Product Generation functions including, updating documentation, and coordinating security testingSupport the onboarding of external data providers per Governments on-boarding prioritiesSupport the updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentationSupport updates to NCCF Infrastructure as Product Generation and Ingest Code are deployed on AWSWork with Product/Portfolio managers to ensure user requirements are satisfied
Qualifications:
QualificationsBA/BS or higher in engineering, science, computers, or related disciplines.
5 years or more experience in:
Project CoordinationSystems EngineeringRisk Management experience (desired)Conversant in:
AWS Cloud Services (certification preferred)Environmental satellite systems and products (preferred)Python programmingLinux/Unix and Microsoft Windows systemsincluding scriptingMicrosoft Office and Google SuiteMust meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
