Ground Mission Systems Engineer

Overview:
Axient is seeking seeking a Satellite Ground Mission Systems Engineer to support NOAA National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) Office of Satellite Ground Services (OSGS).
Work involves operationalizing NESDIS Ground System Ingest and Product Generation capabilities on AWS Cloud using the NESDIS Common Cloud Framework (NCCF), and guiding the implementation of Governments security priorities.
Responsibilities:
ResponsibilitiesSpecific duties will include:
Guide implementation teams to operationalize Ingest and Product Generation functions including reviewing user stories, updating documentation, and coordinating security testingLead the onboarding of external data providers per Governments on-boarding prioritiesManage updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other documentationManage the completion of Security Test and Evaluation (ST), Security Control Assessor (SCA), and address related POALead updates to NCCF Infrastructure as Product Generation and Ingest Code are deployed on AWSEnsure technical integrity of NCCF Ingest and Egress ServicesWork with Product/Portfolio managers to ensure user requirements are satisfied
Qualifications:
5 years or more experience in:
Project CoordinationSystems EngineeringEnvironmental satellite systems and products (preferred)Conversant in:
AWS Cloud Services (certification preferred)Python programmingLinux/Unix and Microsoft Windows systemsincluding scriptingMicrosoft Office and Google SuitePreferred BA/BS or higher in engineering, science, computers, or related disciplines.
Must meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
