Satellite Systems Engineer

Overview:
Axient is looking for aSatellite Systems Engineer to join our team working on NOAA NEDIS systems in Silver Spring MD.
Axient is working on a team thatsupports NOAA NESDIS in their mission to provide global environmental data and information from satellites and other sources.
We are working in the Office of Systems Architecture and Advanced Planning (OSAAP) to provide enterprise-level systems engineering, systems architecture, product planning, governance, and high-level strategic planning.
Within OSAAP, we help plan, analyze, demonstrate, and integrate the system architectures, policies, and procedures for all of NOAA's environmental satellite and information systems.

The successful candidate will be able to:
Participate in groups conducting assessments of systems architectures including any of the space, ground segment, and end-to-end systems.
Provide assessments of technology opportunities including satellite instruments, data processing tools and platforms, and communication systems.
Help prepare of short- and long-range roadmaps for technology transition and development.
Develop and update requirements documents for satellite missions.
Interface with government and integrated teams, user liaisons, users, and stakeholders in the development of requirements and program deliverables.
Create schedules and budgets, and track and report progress on projects and programs.
Prepare presentations and reports, and proposals, and deliver briefings internally and externally to various offices and agency leadership personnel.
We need people with the backgrounds necessary to help NESDIS plan the next generation flight and ground systems.
You will also be helping to develop, analyze, and validate system architectures and interfaces, and systems engineering and program management processes.
This will include working with concept study teams, developing top-level requirements documents, and ensuring the integrity and functional effectiveness of the NESDIS Enterprise Architecture.
You will be involved in developing framework and management plans, concepts of operations, requirements definition, scheduling, and analyses of alternatives.
Qualifications:
RequirmentsYou will have between 5-15 years of experience in this or a related field.

Citizen or Green Card / Permanent Resident required.
BA/BS or higher in a technical field preferred.
Must meet applicable COVID safety requirements and protocols.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
