Safety Relief Engineer [Senior]
Job Description:
MAIN FUNCTIONS Responsible for evaluations of safety systems.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES cents Develop unit & flare Safety Relief Reviews (SRRs), which is an engineering evaluation of the safety systems that keep our process facilities safe performed in support of capital project development or consulting for a manufacturing site cents Consult & provide TQA (Total Quality Assurance) of site-performed SRR work, including those developed by 3rd parties cents Propose cost-effective mitigations for SRR findings cents Participate in Risk Assessments with Process Safety Risk cents Support sites in maintaining evergreen Unit; Flare Models cents Perform and/or lead pressure relief system analysis in support of projects and site activities cents Responsible for delivering efficient and accurate process safety studies and solutions SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS cents Bachelor of Science or higher degree in Chemical Engineering cents Previous experience in the oil, gas, or petrochemicals industry cents Knowledge of Process Design fundamentals with respect to safety, including, overpressure scenario identification cents Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring technical teams cents Fundamental understanding of distillation tower, pump and compressor operation and performance This is a job level 2 position:
