Environmental Policy Analyst

ECS is seeking an Environmental Policy Analyst to work in our Silver Spring, MD office.
Job Description:
ECS has an immediate entry level opening for an environmental policy analyst supporting the Fisheries Statistics Division of NOAA Fisheries' Office of Science and Technology.
The candidate will provide program management consulting services for the Marine Recreational Information Program.
MRIP support is specifically needed for the Program Management Team, Core Business Team, Transition Team, and the Regional Implementation Council.
Specific duties include:
Maintaining rosters, contact information, and email directories of active team members Scheduling team meetings, workshops, etc.
and arranging all meeting and workshop logistics Developing meeting agendas, posting to the MRIP Confluence meeting webtool; locating all necessary background information for agenda items, posting background materials to the Confluence meeting page and distributing as requested to team members Recording key points of discussion of primary agenda items, preparing and posting meeting summaries to Confluence webpage, posting assignments for next steps, other actions, follow ups to web page Preparing written reports and summaries of team-sponsored meetings and workshops, including technical reports based on meeting/workshop outcomes, as assigned by the team lead Monitoring progress in completing team assignments and providing regular updates to team leads Maintaining a system for monitoring and reporting progress on completing Taskers Supporting actions to comply with the Modern Fish Act Supporting MRIP's Program Management Team in development of annual implementation plans, strategic plan updates, other special projects and reports as assigned, and coordinating with Regional Implementation Teams on updates of their regional plans Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree 4-6 years of relevant experience in project and/or program management with a natural resources or environmental management focus Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision Ability to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously Ability to understand complex business rules and translate into documented processes and procedures Program planning and management in a team environment Experience working with diverse teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organization and people skills Desired Skills:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
