Manager, Day Shift, Materials Management

Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Manager of Materials Management who will embrace our mission to extend Gods care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.
As a Manager of Materials Management, you will:
o Manages the effective and efficient operation of the materials management system.
o Ability to work independently and make critical decisions based off reports and data that come from the automated inventory management systems that will lead to superior outcomes.
o Responsible for the maintenance and accuracy of inventory.
o Reviews daily reports and statistical data for correctness and quality assurance, identifying issues and corrective action for process improvements.
o Performs daily assessment of inventory to ensure safe and economical on- hand and/or on-order values.
Remains current on new and obsolete inventory.
o Investigates and solves complex and unique problems as they occur to maintain the proper functionality of processes as specified in department business practices, as well as problems that relate to inventory management.
o Maintains an ongoing knowledge associated with operational and technical aspects of the purchasing and supply system.
o Understand and practices the mission, vision and values of organization.
o Supervises all activities of the department:
receiving, stockroom, and distribution of inventory.
o Fills in for the Receiving Clerks, Stock Clerks and Cart Techs as needed and performs cycle counts as needed.
o Attends many hospital meetings and represents the department on hospital committeeQualifications include:
o High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree Preferredo3-5 years of Supervisor/Manager experience requiredo3 years of Supply Chain experience in a Healthcare Proficient in materials management information systems (MMIS)oAbility to handle multi-task environmentoCustomer and Business FocusedoAttention to detailoProblem SolvingoStrong organizational skillsoCommunicative (written and verbal)Work Schedule:
