Come join us! ABOUT THE TEAM Employment services support people who work in paid positions in office-setting retail establishments, hotels, restaurants, and government and nonprofit agencies throughout Montgomery County and the District of Columbia.
Our employment services team facilities experiences to help job seekers identify their vocational interests and ideal conditions of employment.
they also work with area employers to expand job opportunities that are mutually beneficial to the job seeker and the business community.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL:
The Customized Employment Consultant is responsible for supporting job seekers through the customized or supported employment process to ensure a job seeker secures a position that meets their competencies, interests, and needs.
The CEC will work closely with the Employment Outreach team, the job seeker, their family, and the Regional Employment Coordinator.
A successful CEC will assist 10 people a year in securing their ideal position and being effective at the practice used in customized employment:
Discovery, negotiated Job Development, and systematic instruction.
They may also be asked to assist someone in securing a promotion or starting their own business.
They will also be required to support the transition of the employee to the supports of the Regional Employment Coordinator or job coach.
Initial Services (Onboarding and Discovery):
1.
Onboard the job seeker to the Employment Services Program according to the program's guidelines.
2.
Facilitate and complete the initial process (Discovery process) with the job seeker.
3.
Use internal systems/resources to get access to the standardized process timelines, documents, and products.
4.
During Discovery, maintain communications and collaboration with other programs at SEEC to ensure quality services, optimize resources, and contribute to collective knowledge.
5.
Record and maintain all Onboarding and Discovery records according to program guidelines.
Job Search Planning 6.
Develop a Positive Personal Profile that represents his or her skills, abilities, experience, and right conditions for potential employers.
7.
Identify and develop professional relationships with potential employers in collaborating with Employer Outreach Team (EOT) ABOUT YOU Requires a minimum of a BA/BS degree in a disability-related studies or business field of work.
In addition, the employee should have three (3) years of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities or other vulnerable and minority populations in supported employment or workforce development.
Must possess an excellent perform ethic and be a formidable team player with excellent communication skills.
Requires a valid driver's license containing two points and reliable transportation.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
