Project Assistant - Grants, Contracts Finance

The Project Assistant is responsible for central administrative duties.
This includes but is not limited to accurate processing of invoices and requisitions to ensure timely payment, requesting and terminating employee access to all systems, setting and cleaning up workstations, orienting new employees, basic IT troubleshooting, keeping process manual updated, compiling audit documents, managing and tracking statuses for signatures and proposals.
This position will also perform other duties such as file maintenance, supply orders, mail distribution, UPS shipments, conference room scheduling and set up for meetings, service requests, serve as backup to other team members, assist with office events, and other projects as assigned.
This person is primarily responsible for assisting with administrative tasks, conducting research, assisting in providing technical assistance to grantees, summarize and write reports, edit, and create presentations.
The Program Assistant will also perform other duties such as data entry; selected administrative duties such as filing and record keeping, photocopying, creating flyers and posters, update resources and documents, assist with special projects and, other duties associated with a project.
Qualifications:

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
