3 days in the office, 2 at home is preferred A well-established Not For Profit organization based in Silver Spring, MD, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join their team as a Strong Senior Accountant / Light Accounting Manager.
This temporary position is focused on helping the organization catch up with their financials and reconciliations in preparation for an upcoming audit.
Responsibilities:
Perform bank reconciliations and other balance sheet reconciliations Create general journal entries in QuickBooks based on bank statements Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable functions Process payroll accurately and efficiently Ensure audit readiness and support the CFO during the audit process Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel is highly preferred Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes Familiarity with audit procedures and experience in preparing for audits Detail-oriented and organized approach to financial tasks Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines This position offers a temporary pay rate of $50 per hour, with the potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance and the organization's needs.
