EXECUTIVE CHEF - High Volume Upscale Restaurant

Executive Chef needed in Silver Spring, MD for a high volume, upscale restaurant.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Keep abreast of trending developments by exploring new/future menu items, cooking methods, procedures and equipment
Organize and conduct food tastings
Train and manage kitchen personnel
Able to spot problems and solve them quickly and efficiently
Maintain a level head and delegate many kitchen task simultaneously
Maximize the productivity of kitchen staff
Maintain impeccable personal hygiene as well as high work and safety standards
Set an example for staff
The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential to success in this role. To create new menu items that properly portray the concept.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or related Culinary Degree
3-5+ years of Executive Chef experience in a high volume, upscale casual or fining dining concept with a scratch kitchen (i.e. Hillstone, Houlihan's, Houstons, J Alexander, Jose Andres, Ruth's Chris, Capital Grille, BLT Steakhouse, etc.)
