High School Diploma/GED Cert Coding Specialist (CCS) 5-7 years of experience required General Summary : Assists Coding Quality Manager with ensuring accuracy and integrity of ICD-9-CM and/or CPT coding and APR-DRG assignment for all patient encounters coded. Provides in-patient and out-patient coding quality reviews. Provides training of newly hired coders, and education and audit programs, in order to improve skills and compliance. Determines documentation improvement opportunities, in order to reduce and/or eliminate future reviews. Provides high level of technical competency, and serves as subject matter expert regarding documentation, coding, billing, reimbursement, and coding compliance management. Responsible for special coding quality related projects. Develops and delivers education programs, information materials, work products, and tools for departments, in order to ensure documentation and coding accuracy, improve skills, establish improved physician documentation initiatives, respond to perceived needs of coding quality reviews, and support development and implementation of best practices, guidelines and policies, in order to ensure compliance with regulations. Acts as team resource for questions, and provides quality reviews, feedback and training to other coding specialists. Classifies diagnostic and procedural data, as documented in medical records and abstracts, to highest level of accuracy, totality and specificity, since coded and abstracted data is foundatiEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
