US Citizens This is a senior leadership position with a responsibility for managing programmatic, strategic, and scientific activities of the Military Psychiatry Branch. The Research Psychologist (Capability Area Manager) will function as a full senior scientific advisor to the Branch Chief to carry out all scientific and programmatic functions of the Military Psychiatry Branch. The Research Psychologist (Capability Area Manager) position shares the duties of providing leadership in planning, implementing, and coordinating all of the scientific research, analytical, and programmatic activities of the Branch. This position includes responsibility for formulating a science and technology implementation plan for Branch research activities. The Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) aims to conduct biomedical research that is responsive to Department of Defense and US Army requirements and delivers lifesaving products including knowledge, technology and medical material to sustain the combat effectiveness of the Warfighter. WRAIR is participating in an alternative personnel system known as the Personnel Demonstration Project (PDP). The DB-04 pay band is equivalent to the GS-15 step 1 to GS-15 step 10 level. In keeping with the Demonstration pay fixing policies, employees earning a salary that falls within this pay band equivalent, may not receive an immediate pay increase (promotion) if appointed to this position. Future pay increases within the pay band will be accomplished through the pay for performance management system. In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Degree:
Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized
Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes:
(1) Experience directing research programs that study operational and stress issues such as deployment stress; (2) Experience developing clinical research programs focused on identifying early intervention techniques in psychological health research; AND (3) Experience publishing in peer-reviewed journals and presenting research programs to senior leaders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DB-03 / GS-14). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
