The position of Health Physicist falls under the 1306 occupational series. To qualify for this position at grade GS-14, you must meet the following:
Applicants must meet the Basic Requirement AND Specialized Experience as stated below:
Basic Requirements:
A. Degree:
natural science or engineering that included at least 30 semester hours in health physics, engineering, radiological science, chemistry, physics, biology, mathematics, and/or calculus. OR B. Combination of education and experience -- courses as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or other education; or certification as a health physicist by the American Board of Health Physics, plus appropriate experience and other education that provided an understanding of sciences applicable to health physics comparable to that described in paragraph A. NOTE:

Experience:
You must possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade GS-13 or equivalent band level of responsibility in the Federal service that includes
Experience:
conducting laboratory inspections to ensure compliance with policy and regulations; providing advice and consultation to management on policy and procedures; developing solutions to solve radiation and health physics problems; and ensuring all staff are properly trained as required by policy. NOTE:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
